"R" has always loved books and she loves to read. Lately mommy has been bringing home her simple beginner readers from school for her to read. Most are just the simple "Pat can bat" or "I can do that" type stories. Usually they are only 4 or 5 pages and are a bit on the bland side, but "R" still loves reading them. Tonight "R" picked up "Where the Wild Things Are" and read it by herself to both mommy and daddy. She missed a few words here and there, but got almost all of it by herself. Now, we know that half of what she's doing is just memorizing, but we were still very impressed. "R" even reads with expression and voices! It's pretty cute!
