The Great Turkey Feast!

Our turkey holiday was spent this year in the beautiful scenery of North Carolina! Our crew drove down, my sister and her husband drove down from D.C., and "Grammy" flew up from Texas all to surround my little brother who had a rough year. Nov. 29th would have been his one year anniversary and we didn't want him to spend it alone.

Most of our time was spent gorging our selves on food and being lazy. Our Thanksgiving dinner was truly a feast of gigantic proportions. We ended up with a turkey, 4 sides, rolls, gravy, cranberry stuff and 5 desserts! It was wonderful!

Every day we took walks around enjoying the beautiful fall weather. "Grammy" the scrapbooker brought a project for us to work on. Everyone wrote and decorated a "Thankful" page and "Grammy" is going to combine them into a book. 'R' & 'B' had a blast with the leftover paper, stickers, markers and scissors and kept making page after page of their "art".

On Saturday we all went up to Pinehurst and toured The Carolina hotel and my brother's course that he works.




The girls participated in a fun cookie decorating activity while we were there. And even though we still had 5 unfinished desserts at home, they insisted on taking their leftover cookies with them!

My little brother hooked us up with golf carts and we all drove around his course.

I can understand why he loves his job! Look at this beautiful scenery he works in every day!

We all agreed that it was an incredibly relaxing Thanksgiving - maybe almost borderline slothful and glutonous, but still wonderful!
