We made the long drive back to Virginia on July 5th so we could attend church camp again. This is our 2nd year to make it back up there as a whole family. We love this tradition and hope to keep it up as long as possible. Love seeing our church family, love hanging out with old friends, love the relationships there that have blessed our life!
On the first full day of camp, we celebrated Len's birthday. He was "thrilled" to have us sing, not once but twice to him.
Len and I joined forces with our talented friend, Holly, and taught the Bible class all week at camp. We had fun making mazes and cool visuals to demonstrate some of the lessons we taught.
Our camp does a great job of teaching God's word, but also having a lot of fun and growing relationships. This year they had Busch Garden Ambassadors come out and give an animal demonstration in the evening. We got to see snakes, birds, and a SLOTH! So cool. I had to take a "slothie."

They also arranged a fun dueling piano show one night. All the adults and kids had a great time singing loudly to some classics and favorites. 'B' said it best when she said, "I didn't know pianos were so cool." Maybe now, I can get her back into her piano lessons!
We had face painting and hay rides another evening.
At the end of the week, 'R' won the Bible award and her cabin won the skit competition.
Before we knew it, we had to say goodbye again. We look forward to seeing and hugging these friends again in another year!
