4th of July weekend

We had a fun weekend with lots of water activities.  Friday afternoon kicked us off with a water balloon fight with a neighborhood family.  I enjoyed being the action photographer!

Once the water balloons ran out (which took about 5 minutes) the kids resorted to dumping buckets of water on each other and then having water wars with the hose.  Great summer fun!

On Saturday we went to a friends house and swam in their pool, ate burgers and dogs, and were blessed with great Christian fellowship and discussion.

On Sunday we went to Bellows Beach with a dear family that just moved.  It was our last get together with them, and my kids are very sad that they are gone.  We played sand volleyball for a few hours and then boogie boarded and played in the sand.

On Monday we headed back to the beach in Kailua to a friends house right on the water.  The kids played a lot and we boogie boarded in the waves.  Despite that fact that TWO of my kids were stung by man-o-wars, we had a great time!  We stayed on the beach till dark and watched fireworks.

We missed having Len with us, but we made the best of our holiday weekend!  Happy Birthday America!
