We had a nice weekend with "Mia" (grandma) as she came to visit for part of Kara's birthday. It was a short trip, but we all enjoyed having her here. On Saturday we spent the morning watching Len play flag football (the girls just ran around and entertained the spectators), we wandered around Mia's alumni campus taking pictures, went to the Children's museum and mall in the afternoon, and had a nice dinner out. We had lots of fun! Mia of course is a fabulous photographer so she got some great pictures of the game and the girls everywhere we went.
Here the girls are playing at the football game. Not really sure what they are playing, but they spent a lot of time running back and forth down the side of the field, spinning, chasing, etc. They really had no idea what was happening on the field, where daddy was, or who was winning!

This is at the museum playing the musical wall. You can press each wooden piece and a different sound comes out of the speakers at top. Very fun for kids and adults!
"B" was shy at first and didn't like the musical wall. She just stood back and held her hands over her ears. However when we were ready to move on to the rest of the museum she finally wanted to touch and play! Go figure!
The children's museum had a medical theme to it. There was this large Operation game to play, a pretend ambulance to climb in, and lots of fun experiments about the human body. It was a little bit over the girls' heads but they actually thought it was funny to play this and make the beaping sounds with the game!

While Kara & "B" try to figure out how to drive the ambulance! (It's actually the front of an old Volkswagon bug that's been transformed into an ambulance. Last time we came this front of a car was part of a space craft!)
