Growing & Changing

Our little 'N' is growing and changing every day! She is at a fun stage.

Her favorite things to do each day consist of:

*running anywhere she can
* opening any and every drawer and cabinet she can find
* pulling anything and everything out of said drawers & cabinets
(Her most recent fav is the Tylenol bottle she found in Len's night stand drawer. It's a mini rattle to her! Thank goodness for those baby-proof lids!)
* taking things to different people
(We could keep her occupied all day long just telling her to take something to 'R' and then to 'B' and then back to 'R'. Our own personal courier!)
* putting things back into baskets, tub, drawers, etc.
* sitting and standing on the couch and beds
* splashing and soaking the entire bathroom when she takes baths
* pointing at pictures around the house naming "Da-da", "Ma-ma", 'R' & 'B'.
* squealing with delight when 'E'-man comes to the house! He is her best friend!
* copying, following, and mimicking anything 'E'-man does
* going "ouse" (outside) and playing in the sand box
* throwing sand from the sand box all over herself and anyone else nearby
* getting into whatever big sisters have out (markers, puzzle pieces, Barbies, etc.)
* carrying random objects all over the house and dropping them in the farthest place possible from where she got them. (i.e. Kitchen magnets in the bedrooms, bathroom soap in the living room, & shoes anywhere!)
* stomping her feet and providing the world's more ear-piercing scream when a toy is taken away from her by 'E'-man or sisters.
* smiling the most adorable smile, waving one little hand, and saying "Hi" at least 10 times a day to all of us and complete strangers!

SO much fun!!!

'N' still has almost no hair on the top or front of her head, but the back is beginning to grow and curl up.



'N' is attempting to say many more words now. Only a few are distinct enough to not need a translator. 'B', bath, bye, brush, & ball all sound the same. Shoes, juice, horse and sis all sound the same too. But at least she is making an effort to communicate! Anything is better than the screaming she does when she doesn't use her words.

Here's some pics of her and her buddy! They love to sit on the bottom step of the stairs and just kick together and drink their sippy cups. It's like watching a little old couple sitting out on a porch rocking. They don't say much, but they enjoy each other's company.



(I see glimpses of future teenagers texting!)


Another favorite place to stand is one corner wall in the dining room. Again they just stand next to each other and do nothing, but it makes them happy!


Monkey See - Monkey Do!!!

This last picture was taken a few weeks ago. We had a reoccurring diaper rash that had been flaring up on and off for almost 2 months. So we started having some "air" time each day to help. One day during this "free" time, she grabbed one of the books off my nightstand and started reading it. It's called "Raising Kids for True Greatness". I'm sure this is not what the authors had intended or envisioned in their definition of greatness! (She's going to hate this picture when she's a teenager!)
