The Celebration of Birthdays

This past Saturday, we had the girls' birthday party. It was a little different than it has been in the past. This time we had a mid afternoon party with snacks, cupcakes, and some very big toys!

We rented this monstrous jumper for the big kids . . .

(14 feet tall with a 10 foot slide!)

and this tot jumper for the little guys.

Besides jumping we also had swings, a see-saw, sidewalk chalk,

and bubbles!

Everybody had a LOT of fun! For the most part, the adults just sat around, supervised and talked. Although some of the "adults" couldn't help themselves and joined in with the kids too!

The kids enjoyed trying to see how many people they could cram down the slide


Thankfully, no major injuries occurred.


After plenty of play time, we ate some snacks and did the official birthday singing with the cupcakes.

(We had some technical difficulties with 'N's candle. She actually ended up just blowing out the flame on the lighter, but she didn't care!)

Grammy had a great idea to try and get all three girls together for a group shot with the balloons and sign. 'N', being the two year old that she is, did NOT want to cooperate!

It was much easier and prettier without her.

'N' loved her #2 shirt and balloon. She proudly kept pointing to them both saying "Two!" Funny enough, she isn't able to hold up two fingers on the same hand when you ask her how old she is. Instead she holds up one finger on each hand to make her two!

We had a great time celebrating with our friends and family. At the end of the day, we all slept well!
